This past week I have been blessed by the Lord in so many ways. I have felt His love for me this week and it has been such a huge comfort. My testimony has been strengthened as I have seen the hand of the Lord in my life. It all started when I finally paid my tithing on Sunday.
I have been putting off paying my tithing for a few months. But I wrote out the check, put it in an envelope and gave it to my bishop. I felt pretty good after that. The next few days went by fast while I was looking at different housing options for the summer semester and deciding if I wanted to transfer to BYU-Idaho after graduating from LDS Business College.
I was able to met with a mentor for about 30 minutes today. It was fun talking with him and being able to pick his brain. I don't know what happened but by the end of our conversation, I felt like I was supposed to apply to attend BYU-Idaho. So this afternoon, I started the application process to attend BYU-Idaho.
I love how in life we think that we have everything planned out perfectly. Then Heavenly Father is able to change our plans in a way that will benefit us more than our original plan would have. I have come to realize over the years that we are not the ones in control. It is hard to change and adapt but I can testify that I wouldn't be where I am today without all of those loving course corrections.
This is beautiful Anna and a good reminder for all of us to realize that Heavenly Father always knows what's best for us even if we don't…that he is always there to turn to when we reach a crossroads! Because he knows us better than we do, he will guide us and direct us around the pot holes in life if we will but heed inspired counsel and pay particular attention to His promptings! I wish you all the best at BYUI!
